Men's Long Jump Preview - IAAF World Junior Championships 2014
Published by
The last World junior champion (Sergey Morgunov 8.35m 27-4 3/4) set the World Junior Record and third place, Jarrion Lawson, was the NCAA indoor champion this year at 27-6. Youth can be a good thing with this event and quite often we see top international performers come out of the world junior event. 17 year-old Qian Ling of China (8.10m) competed in the last World Championships and may become a multi-eventer after scoring 5483 in the Heptathlon as a 15 year-old or he has found his primary event. Trayvonn White (8.04m) pr'd at the US Junior championships and seems to be reaching unfullfilled potential.
